Chris Innes - Tournament Officer
Following a successful 39 year career in the Civil Service I retired in 2016.  I had always fancied archery but did not have the time while working full time as my job had involved extensive travel overseas and within the UK.  In 2017 I enrolled on a Beginners Course at Arundown Archery Club, Angmering, West Sussex and shortly afterwards became a member of ArcheryGB and joined the Arundown Archery Club.

In my first two years of doing archery, I took part in several competitions (both indoor and outdoor) and to my surprise won several gold and silver medals in the Barebow category.

Late in 2019 I moved to Shropshire and after settling into my new home I looked for a local archery club to join.  Discovering Croesoswallt Archers in early 2020 I immediately joined the club, where I have been an active member ever since.

Following my contribution (mastering i@nseo the archery tournament software) to our successful 2024 Heritage Competition I took-up the role of Tournament Organiser.  I see my role as one who is managing our Club’s tournaments where everyone (archers, officials and working party members) are having an enjoyable day.
