This event is a nationwide celebration of archery, where clubs and providers across the UK open their doors to welcome people of all ages and abilities to try out the sport. It’s a fantastic opportunity for beginners to get a taste of archery, guided by qualified coaches and volunteers. In Shropshire Croesoswallt Archers organised the Shropshire Schools Archery Festival as part of Start Archery Week, with support from ArcheryGB. It was a fantastic event that brought together over 70 children from various schools across the county. As well as experiencing archery for the first time, they competed in a friendly environment, learning more about the sport. The children also had a demonstration from youth archer Max Oakley, Jr Shropshire County Champion.
