Welcome to Croesoswallt Archers

Over the weekend of 18-19 October, more than 140 archers from across the UK gathered in York for the 2025 National Clout Championships and the Tassel Award Scheme National Championships. It proved to be an outstanding weekend for Alex Hollingshead who brought home two national titles.

The action began on Saturday with the National Clout Championships, where Alex delivered a remarkable performance to become the Junior Men’s Barebow National Champion. In a thrilling contest, he overcame five-time reigning champion Edward Milner, ending Milner’s impressive winning streak and securing the top spot. Teammate Phil Morris also achieved an excellent result, taking 2nd place in the Men’s 50+ category, further adding to the club’s strong showing on the national stage.

Success continued on Sunday at the Tassel Award Scheme Championships, where Alex once again dominated the juniors, winning 1st place in the U18 Men’s Barebow category. His impressive accuracy and consistency also earned him the overall Junior Barebow Champion title for the highest score of the day, along with £10 and £50 prize awards.

Fellow archers and supporters praised the athletes for their dedication and exceptional performances, which continue to raise the profile of Croesoswallt Archers within the national archery community.
